John
Kearley - Chair
Millenium III Group of Companies
As an author
with literary publishers Thistledown Press, producer/writer/performer
of his one man show for the 13th Annual Saskatoon Fringe Festival,
and a musician who has done his best to keep Nutana residents "entertained"
, John Kearley has been involved in the Broadway arts community for
many years.
From
his early days spent attending Victoria School, to his current pastime
of painstakingly restoring his 1927 Broadway bungalow, the street
has run through John's life in more ways than one. Deeply committed
to his neighborhood, John's cravings for Café Americanos, Suimono
Udon with Megan's mushrooms, Pistachio Shrimp on Wednesdays, The Ness
Creek Journal, St. Andre Cheese, Calories' desserts, Lydia's open
stage, and subtitled movies (with real buttered popcorn) have led
him to realize that there is no where else he could possibly live.
John
is Vice President of Facilities for the Millennium III Properties
Corporation, as well as part owner of the W.J. Patterson Mall at the
corner of 9th Street and Broadway.
Through
his professional experience in real estate development, and his personal
passion for the arts, John hopes to provide the BBID with a balanced
approach to the challenges faced in maintaining the vibrancy and character
of Broadway.
